Accomplishments

Since my last election, I am happy to report the following major achievements:

• The Middleton and WIT facilities were re-accredited by the
  American Correctional Association (ACA)
• Maintained the “Lowest Cost Per Inmate” in the Commonwealth.
• Implemented a nationally recognized inmate rehabilitation program.
• Developed a Youth Leadership Academy serving over 500 children.
• Partnered with the DA’s Office for TRIAD in 33 Communities.
• Partnered with local law enforcement to provide “Facial Recognition”.
• Implemented Project TND “Toward No Drug Abuse” with local high schools.
• Over the past 15 months, the Department has addressed a 12% budget cut.
